Accessibility

We want to create lasting memories for everyone who visits the farm park, whatever their requirements.

Nimbus Access Card

We are pleased to be working with Nimbus Disability, using their Access Card Scheme to provide our customers with access requirements a more consistent and better experience.

Nimbus Disability is a social enterprise and an organisation run by and for disabled people and is recognised as a lead authority on accessible ticketing in the UK.

We will use the scheme for all customers that require support, such as an essential companion ticket, access to queue assists or provisions such as additional written information. All attendees requiring these access provisions will go via Nimbus to have their access requirements validated so we can not only provide those reasonable adjustments, but protect them from potential misuse.

You will be able to submit a free application for a Digital Access Pass (DAP), via Nimbus to enable you to purchase tickets and other access facilities. As part of this, you will need to provide relevant evidence in order for Nimbus to allocate the symbols that represent the barriers you face. This lasts for 3 years, so once you have applied and it’s been approved, that’s it!

Already got an Access Card? You’re sorted! Have a look at our FAQs for what to do next

How does it work?

To apply for your Bluebell Dairy Digital Access Pass, please click here and go through the simple application form and upload any validating evidence along with some narrative about your access requirements

Once you have your Bluebell Dairy Digital Access Pass Number (found on your confirmation email) you can follow the booking links on our website as normal. When it comes to selecting “ticket type” you will need to select “Essential Companion”, the system will then ask you to unlock the ticket by inputting your Access Card I.D number. If your Access Card permits an “Essential Carer” then this will be applied and you can then proceed with your booking.

Please note that we do not make the decisions on who is entitled to an “Essential Companion”. This decision is made by Nimbus Disability.

An Access Card is a universal way of conveying your access requirements with thousands of organisations, venues, events and ticketing systems in the UK and beyond.

You can purchase an Access Card for £15 for 3 years.

A Bluebell Dairy Digital Access Pass is a free way of conveying your access requirements, just with Bluebell Dairy. You still go through the same process, but receive a digital number and no card.

Whilst we are trying to enable all of our access customers to book online, occasionally this isn’t possible. For those guests requiring multiple essential companions or if you have specific access requirements, please contact our access team on 01332 673924 or email info@bluebelldairy.co.uk and we will do all we can to make your visit a great experience

We really want to ensure your visit is as accessible as possible, and understand what our disabled customers’ requirements are. We recognise that our staff are not experts in the Equality Act and this is a way to ensure we can meet all our guests’ requirements across our site, in a consistent way. This is why working with Nimbus we can use their recognised and award-winning scheme to enable us to provide a great and accessible experience.

The system offers greater privacy, as disabled people with access requirements will no longer need to carry supporting documents or explain circumstances to staff. You’ll only need to supply the information once when you register for an Access Card.

Our commitment to accessibility remains unchanged. Our friendly team and staff are still here to support you if you have any questions or need assistance. For further support, please email info@bluebelldairy.co.uk

We’ve chosen to pass the registration scheme onto the same organisation that runs the ‘Access Card’. Nimbus Disability is a social enterprise and an organisation run by and for disabled people and is recognised as a lead authority on accessible ticketing in the UK.

When you register, Nimbus Disability will handle all your information securely and safely without us ever having cause to see the detail behind why you need accessible seating options.

Once you’ve registered, Nimbus will then provide you with a unique registration number which you can then use to link your access needs into our system.

If you are not able to use online forms and would be unable, because of the nature of your impairment, to access online

sales you do still need to register. Nimbus will be able to assist with telephone registration on 0330 808 5108.

An Essential Companion ticket is available for people where support is needed that is significant and substantial and in excess of what could be reasonably expected of family/friends already accompanying the guest. The support must be due to disability-related needs.

Our Essential Companion Scheme is not available to complimentary ticket holders or when zero value entry is applicable for the Access Card holder (including children under 2 years who enter free of charge).

Bluebell Dairy partners with Nimbus Disability, operators of the Access Card scheme, to assess and manage applications for our Essential Companion tickets. Nimbus Disability is one of the country’s leading providers of disability-related advice and support to professional organisations and is recognised as a lead authority on accessible ticketing in the UK. They are an award-winning organisation run by disabled people who specialise in the legislation behind The Equality Act and other legislation like Welfare Benefits.

Accessibility

We are a rural destination, which can present some challenges when it comes to accessibility but we strive to offer an inclusive experience for everybody.

PARKING

All parking at the Farm Park is free. Disabled parking is available next to the entrance.

BEFORE YOU VISIT

If you have any special requirements, please don’t hesitate to contact us to discuss how we can help make your visit an enjoyable one.
We can be contacted on 01332 673924, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.

VISUALLY IMPAIRED

Assistance dogs are allowed throughout the Farm Park (as long as they are working at the time).

HEARING IMPAIRED

There is a wealth of written information around the Farm Park to explain our history, the farming year and the story of each of our breeds.

BABY CHANGING AND FEEDING

There are baby changing facilities, accesible to everyone in all of our toilet areas.

Breastfeeding is welcomed in all non-animal contact areas of the Farm Park. To make sure you and your baby are safe, we ask that no breast feeding, eating or drinking takes place in any of the barns where animals are kept, or on the Animal walk. Please wash your hands when leaving these areas and before eating, drinking or feeding your baby.

PUSHCHAIR ACCESS

All areas of the Farm Park are pushchair accessible, please note our paths are gravel and unsealed, pushchairs with larger wheels fair better. Some of the terrain can be uneven. We have both gravel and grassy paths in our outside areas.

WHEELCHAIR USERS

Doorways to the café are extra wide and ramped.  The Farm Park itself has unsealed gravel and grassy walkways. Some of our pathways are loose and some wheelchairs can struggle. All of our pathways are large enough for wheelchairs. Please note many of these areas are sloped and may require a bit of strength to navigate in a manual wheelchair.

GUESTS WITH LEARNING DISABILITIES

A visit to the Farm Park is a multi-sensory and interactive experience. Please take all the time you need. Our team are more than happy to answer any questions during your visit- feel free to test them out!

ALLERGIES

All of our food is prepared on-site in a kitchen that handles wheat, dairy and nuts. For information about ingredients please ask a member of our catering team.
