Our Highland cows are a key part of the farm experience, and we’ve created a range of ways for you to enjoy them, whether that’s meeting them during your visit, booking a dedicated experience, or joining us for one of our Highland Cow Afternoon Tea Experiences.
Their long horns, flowing coats and calm nature make them a favourite with visitors of all ages. And yes, there are plenty of photo opportunities!
For those looking for something a little more memorable, our Highland Cow Experience at Bluebell Dairy Farm is a must. In a relaxed, small-group setting, you’ll get up close with our friendly Highland cows – brushing, stroking and even hand-feeding them, while learning more about this much-loved breed. Our Highland Cow Afternoon Tea Experience (ages 13+) runs on selected weekends and offers a wonderfully relaxed afternoon on the farm. You’ll meet our adorable Highland calves and herd up close, learn all about their personalities and care, and even prepare a special grazing platter for them. The experience includes a private cow safari tractor ride (weather dependent) before sitting down to a delicious homemade afternoon tea with finger sandwiches, cakes, and freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jam. It’s the perfect mix of countryside charm, hands-on moments, and a proper treat.
