It’s that magical time of year again, and we’re preparing to bring even more festive wonder to Bluebell Dairy.
Running on selected dates from 28th November to 24th December 2026, Christmas at Bluebells is our most immersive Christmas experience yet, combining magical new adventures with the festive favourites families return for year after year, making it one of the most magical Christmas events in Derby.
This year, we’re giving families more freedom to enjoy the magic their own way.
Your Christmas adventure begins with a timed journey aboard Santa’s Candycane Express, travelling through the farm towards the woodland. Accompanied by one of Santa’s cheerful elves, you’ll make your way to Santa’s beautiful Woodland Cabin for a special shared festive experience.
Families will enjoy a magical grouped visit with Santa before being welcomed individually to share their Christmas wishes and create a special festive memory together.
After your visit with Santa, the experience becomes completely free-flow, allowing you to explore the rest of Christmas at Bluebells at your own pace. Wander through enchanted woodland trails, meet festive characters, enjoy interactive activities, visit the reindeer, make magical memories and soak up the Christmas atmosphere without feeling rushed.
Hidden amongst the trees, Santa’s beautiful new Woodland Cabin creates an enchanting setting for your Christmas visit.
Gather together with other families for a festive storytelling experience before each child is invited forward individually for their own special moment with Santa and a photo opportunity.
The woodland setting creates a truly magical Christmas atmosphere and offers some of the most memorable photo opportunities of the entire experience.

Climb aboard Santa’s Candycane Express and begin your festive adventure through the farm. As twinkling lights guide your journey towards the woodland, little ones will travel alongside one of Santa’s elves, building excitement before meeting Santa himself.
The Candycane Express operates at your booked timeslot and is the only timed element of the experience, helping your Christmas adventure begin with a touch of festive magic.
Put on your Christmas Spirit Glasses and step into an enchanted woodland filled with festive wonder.
As you wander beneath twinkling lights and snow-covered trees, you’ll discover hidden magical symbols that reveal your unique Christmas Magic Personality. Along the way, add your wishes to our magical Wishing Trees and become part of the festive story hidden within the woods.
No Christmas would be complete without Santa’s trusty reindeer, and we’re thrilled to offer your family the chance to meet them in person! Our real reindeer are nestled in their cosy barn, waiting to greet you with their gentle eyes and soft fur. Not only will you get to see these majestic creatures, but you’ll also have the opportunity to feed them lichen, a special treat they absolutely love.
Imagine your children’s joy as they connect with these beloved Christmas symbols, and you can snap some truly heartwarming photos with them. Please note, to ensure the well-being of our reindeer, we provide limited amounts of lichen per day, so be sure to arrive early!

Step inside our enchanting Toy Emporium, bigger and more magical than ever before. Browse beautifully decorated window displays filled with an even larger selection of toys for all ages, carefully chosen by Santa and his elves.
Once your child has made their choice, our cheerful elves will help them enter their selection into the Magical Chimney. Then watch their excitement grow as Christmas magic comes to life and their chosen toy is magically delivered from above in a swirling cloud of smoke.

Join our elves at the Christmas Cuddle Company and create your very own cuddly reindeer friend to take home. From soft stuffing to festive finishing touches, little ones can bring their Christmas companion to life in this cosy North Pole workshop.
First up is a winter-themed experience filled with festive fun and interactive moments. Children will be invited to join in a magical seasonal adventure, helping bring a little winter cheer to life through playful, immersive moments designed to spark imagination.

Due to popular demand, the mischievous elf returns with a sweet-themed adventure full of festive chaos and hands-on fun. Children will be invited to help restore order in a magical setting, with plenty of surprises along the way and sweet treats to enjoy.

After all that excitement, you’ll probably need a little break! Head over to our Alpine Bar, where you can warm up with some delicious, homemade hot chocolate made from Bluebell Dairy’s very own cow’s milk. And while you’re there, why not sit down with your kids and help them write their letter to Santa? Our friendly elves will be on hand to make the experience extra special.
One of the most heart-warming traditions of Christmas is making reindeer food to leave out on Christmas Eve. This year, your children can get creative by making their own magical reindeer food to take home and sprinkle outside for Rudolph and his friends. It’s a simple but enchanting activity that adds a sprinkle of magic to your Christmas Eve preparations.
Visit Santa’s traditional North Pole Post Office and write a special letter to Father Christmas. Complete with festive stamps, post boxes and plenty of Christmas spirit, children can send their Christmas wishes directly to the North Pole as part of their Christmas at Bluebells experience.
Keep your eyes peeled as you explore the farm in search of our festive selfie spots and capture magical family moments to treasure.
No winter event would be complete without the chance to toast some marshmallows over an open fire! As you warm your hands and enjoy a tasty treat, you’ll be creating even more cherished memories with your loved ones. Although this activity is not included in the ticket price, it’s definitely worth it for the cosy, festive feeling it brings.
Of course, we can’t let you go hungry during your visit! Our talented cooks will be preparing a range of festive dishes that are sure to warm you up on a chilly winter day. From hearty Christmas meals to delicious baked treats and seasonal drinks, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped into a scene from The Nutcracker as you enjoy our delightful menu.
