How it’s made

We are a family farm and have been milking cows since 1953. However, back in 2008, the milk price was low that Rosemary, Geoffrey, and Oliver Brown decided to diversify and make more from their own cows’ fresh milk.

We had a revelation when we first tried Italian Gelato but we didn’t think it would entirely suit British tastes. So we decided to make our own luxury, artisan ice cream made in the same way as gelato but with a British twist.

We started off with a tiny production area and carried our milk down the yard in buckets. From the outset, we spent a lot of time developing our flavours and using only the finest ingredients. We tried over 20 different vanillas and 30 different chocolates! Our aim was to use local or British produce wherever possible.
